1. Include your social media manager (SMM) in your planning meetings early on. Often SMM's are not brought in until past a point where they can add valuable insight to online positioning. 

2. Create your social media organic and paid advertising to support each other. Your paid ads will need to be targeted and usually include a call to action to click to learn more. This means the amount of story you tell, or information you give is a bit more limited. You can expand on the story, or give further context through your non-paid (organic) posting. When your organic and paid posts complement each other it builds trust in cold audiences faster.

3. The online location options for your social media marketing are almost endless. Even if you have a well-padded budget that would allow you to be on most platforms, prioritize where your target audience is MOST ENGAGED. The majority of social media users have accounts on more than one platform, but will usually have one they prefer to engage on.
